The newest trumpet from Bach is the 190S37 Anniversary model Bb. This is an upgraded version of the venerable Bach 37 trumpet, known as the model 180S37 in silver plate. This new trumpet's release celebrates Bach's 50th anniversary of trumpet manufacturing in Elkhart, Indiana, USA. The designation 190 has been used on Bach's LT190L1B Commercial Model Bb trumpet and also Bach Artisan trumpets. The 190 designation means 2-piece valve casings. On this 190S37 trumpet, the top halves of the valve casings are made of nickel which are soldered to brass lower casings. This is how it was done in early Elkhart Bach production before the machinery was acquired to make valve casings from one piece of brass. This 2-piece style adds density and strength with its nickel section. This new trumpet also adds a steel (rather than brass) bell rim wire, all nickel outside slide tubes, special ornate bell engraving, brass and nylon valve guides, a 50th anniversary stamp on the valve casing and a 3C mouthpiece. The case also features the Bach 50th anniversary emblem.
