This horn is nearly brand new, truly A+ condition. It was first sold in September of 2018. The bell flare has a few marks on the inside from the player's handling, a spot of lacquer loss deep inside the throat of the flare (last photo), and one pin prick dent (too small to show). The body seems to have no marks from use and all moving parts work perfectly. The case is flawless and still has the keys attached to the outside. The nickel bell attachment ring is a nice tough - the threads are smooth and easy to get started. This horn does have a beautiful copper-gold-red tint to it - it's quite captivating. The photos don't highlight its color well.
The gold brass construction will produce a broader, warmer, prettier and more soloistic sound, also with a more malleable feel. It may feel less stable and have some small amount less projection than an all yellow brass horn, but the gold is easier to flare to add some heat to your tone when needed.
Includes 1-year warranty from Horn Guys excluding finish.
