It is here.
Finally from a top US brass
instrument builder is a contrabass trombone that is
worthy of its breed. Zig Kanstul in Los Angeles is now
ready to release the world's best contrabass trombone.
Features include:
.562"/.593" dual; bore slide with removable
leadpipe, bass trombone mouthpiece receiver, wide
nickel tapered crook and nickel outer slide tubes.
Dual in-line CR rotary valves. Valves are pitched
in C, Db, and A, eliminating the need for a slide
extension handle. Acoustical elegance meets the
contrabass trombone.
Patented Kanstul CR valves feature 4 piece
hollow, skeletonized rotor mechanism, full .620"
bore first valve, .655" bore second valve, fast
action, pop-free venting, tight seals, no
maintenance, and ergonomic comfort.
Perfect balance and playing comfort is achieved
by the lightly braced bell section and a hand
supporting pad that will fit against the back of the
hand.
Proper bell positioning means long, but still
familiar slide positions. Valve tuning promotes
familiar scale patterns for a fast learning curve.
Look beyond pricey European contras and instead to
this new Kanstul to produce the classic sound. Be the
lowest, loudest, and proudest player around with this
extra large trombone. Give new life and style to the
sounds of opera, brass choir, orchestras, and to all of
the music you love to play.
The horn also includes custom contrabass trombone
mouthpiece, custom extra large trombone stand, and Glenn
Cronkhite lightweight case.
