ES4 triple

This is the famous Engelbert Schmid triple that everyone wants.  Phil Meyers and most of the New York Philharmonic horn section  plays on this model.  F/Bb/F triple with a hand hammered bell.  It is lacquered to protect against wear.  Three water keys have also been added. The water keys can be strung together so as to be able to empty your horn in one fell swoop.  What a wonderful horn.  There is a great evenness between all the sides and the high f side makes the upper register respond with the greatest of ease.  This a must try for anyone in the market for a triple.  The high f side possess a light characteristic where the notes just seem to fall out of the horn.  The main tuning slide is also changeable to make the horn in E.  This makes transposition in hard keys relatively easy. No more transposing and augmented fourth for horn in H. With the horn being in E instead of F all you have to do to play the Brahms symphony #2 is transpose in C which is much easier. Usually in stock.

ES1 Engelbert Schmid made this double horn just for us and we customized it for the west coast.  This horn features a detachable, hand hammered,  large throat bell, two water keys, and is lacquered.  Oh, did I mention it is nickel silver.  That's right, all of the sweet playing characteristics of a Schmid that is able to hit the back of the hall with a punch.  As with all Schmid's this one is also tunable by a half step from F to E.  This takes a lot of the tricky fingering out of some hard passages. The intonation and resonance of this horn are great.  You must play it!

We can also order this model in yellow or gold brass for a lower cost, or to whatever specifications or material you want.

Hoyer Heritage

model 7801

model 7802

Meister Hans Hoyer Heritage model 7801 or 7802. Constructed from unlacquered pre-aged metal and features a gold brass leadpipe. This horn is the ultimate modern French horn, it was based on the famous Kruspe Horner and Elkhart Conn 8D's of much popularity. This model is sweeping the professional horn world by storm, many of the top players are using this model French horn. It slots terrifically, has a large full sound, string linkages and the fastest set of valves around. The precision rotary valves are made in house and hand fit to each instrument. The metal is pre-aged and unlacquered which gives it that vintage look and a rich color in the sound. The valves are engineered to simulate the feel and blow of the vintage Elkhart 8D's giving the player beautiful and easy slurs. This model was designed with influence from Vince DeRosa and Myron Bloom. This horn plays wonderfully and has a full rich sound that will fill a large seat auditorium.

model 6801

model 6802

Based on the design of the vintage Conn 8D, this Kruspe wrap French horn is one of the best professional horns around. This model is perfect for professionals and students alike. If you attend a university music school, this is a great horn to purchase that will take you through your studies and start your professional career. Using many of the same parts from the Heritage 7800 series, the 6800 series is on par with the best horns in the world. The main difference between the heritage series is the metal used in construction of the 6800 is not pre-aged (similar to buying a non broken in baseball glove) and that the 6800 horns are lacquered. The 6800 series also features an adjustable finger hook and thumb lever. The rotary valves are precision made to tight tolerances. Some musicians prefer the blow of the 6800 to the 7800. Many of the Los Angeles studio hornists are using the Hoyer 6800, most notably Rick Todd. This model is the new standard for Kruspe wrap French horns. 110 double Bb/F Wagner Tuba

Complete double tuba in Bb/F with four rotary valves, left hand valves, upright bell. This Wagner tuba plays like a dream.  The valves are in a cluster position but that does not increase resistance when blowing through them.  The intonation is excellent, much better than similar models from other makers.   It stands in Bb with a trigger to F for the low concert F-B, but it can be adjusted to stand in F if you prefer.  Includes hard case.
