This is a rare type of instrument, whose original design predates the tuba.  Consider it a valve contrabass trombone.  Usually pitched in F or CC, but also available in Eb or BBb.  Use it in Verdi operas or large recording orchestras

G&P

Beautiful gold brass cimbasso with 5 Rene Hagman valves, tuning triggers, and remote water keys, handmade long leadpipe. This playable piece of artwork is custom built in Switzerland by Franz Monschau.  This is Steve's favorite F cimbasso.  It's a very nimble, easy to play instrument.  This uses the same bell as Franz' F contrabass trombone. It's truly an amazing accomplishment of brass craftsmanship. Every piece on this instrument was hand fabricated by Franz.  Lacquered. with case.  In stock.
